High School: Earned 12 letters and captained one season at West Genesee High School for coach Jim Vermeulen. Finished 27th of 107 at the 2011 New York State Class A Cross Country Championships. Placed eighth in the 1600m at the 2012 New York State Indoor Championships.

Personal: Born December 2,1993. Son of Fred and Grace Leff. Has one brother (David) and one sister (Laura). Hobbies include ultimate frisbee and the violin. Favorite TV show is The Colbert Report. Favorite athlete is distance racer Bernard Lagat. Majoring in mechanical engineering.
