Dylan Conway Named Academic All-District
University at Buffalo track and field senior Dylan Conway has been named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District First Team. Conway is not only a distance runner on the track and field team, but also a member of the UB Cross Country Team. This is the second straight year that he has been named to the All-District First Team.

UB Men's Cross Country Announces Awards
The University at Buffalo men's cross country squad announced its team awards for the 2011 season. Head coach Vicki Mitchell and her staff made the following presentations: Alex Saavedra was named as Top Newcomer; Mike Pressler earned the Most Improved Award; Dylan Conway won the Coaches' Award and John Inzina was selected as the Most Valuable Runner.

UB Women's Cross Country Announces Awards
The University at Buffalo women's cross country squad announced its team awards for the 2011 season. Head coach Vicki Mitchell and her staff made the following presentations: Christina Clarkin was named as Top Newcomer; Jackie Cavalluzzo earned the Most Improved Award; Katie Sanders won the Coaches' Award and Sam Beim was selected as the Most Valuable Runner.

The University at Buffalo's women's cross country teams have been named to the USTFCCCA NCAA Division I All-Academic Teams for the 2011 season, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced.

Bulls Place Four on Cross Country Academic All-MAC Squads
Four members of the University at Buffalo's men's and women's cross country squads have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference teams. Seniors Dylan Conway and John Inzina and juniors Caitlin Curry and Emma Denton were named to the league's men's and women's lists released today.

UB Men Seventh, Women 25th as Bulls Host Northeast Regional Championships
The University at Buffalo cross country teams hosted the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships for the first time in school history on Saturday at the Audubon Golf Course. The UB men placed seventh in a 33-team field while the women finished 25th among 36 teams. Syracuse's men's and women's teams won their third consecutive team titles at the meet.

UB Cross Country Squads Ready to Host NCAA Northeast Regionals
The University at Buffalo men's and women's cross country teams will host the 2011 NCAA Northeast Regional Championships on Saturday, November 12 at Amherst's Audubon Golf Course. The meet will determine which schools and individuals will race in the upcoming NCAA National Cross Country Championships later this month.

Track and Field/Cross Country to Offer Clinics and Camps
The University at Buffalo's cross country and track and field programs will present a series of clinics and camps over the coming months, including opportunities for middle and high school athletes and coaches. All clinics and camps will feature instruction from men’s and women’s cross country/women’s track and field head coach Vicki Mitchell and men’s track and field head coach Perry Jenkins and the UB coaching staff as well as demonstrations from UB student-athletes.

Men Take Third; Women Place 10th at MAC Championships
The University at Buffalo men’s cross country team turned in its highest finish at the Mid-American Conference Championships as the Bulls placed third among nine squads at the 2011 league championships at Pine View Golf Club in Muncie, IN at Muncie Elks Country Club. The UB women placed 10th in the 12-team women's championship.

Bulls Race at Cornell Reif Invite
The University at Buffalo cross country teams sent a limited amount of runners to Cornell's John Reif Invite on Friday. There was no team scoring in the meet that also included runners from Cortland and Syracuse.

Men's Cross Country Vaults to 13th in Latest Rankings
Thanks to its strong finish against quality competition at last weekend's Penn State National Meet, the University at Buffalo men's cross country team moved up two spots to number 13 in the latest Northeast Regional rankings released by the USTFCCCA this week.

Men Finish Sixth; Women 19th at Penn State National Meet
The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s cross country teams competed Friday at the Penn State National Cross Country Meet against some of the country’s top squads. The UB men placed sixth in a field of 21 while the women’s team finished 19th among 29 squads. Both races were contested in driving rain with very muddy conditions.

University at Buffalo men's cross country runner Dylan Conway has been named the Mid-American Conference's Male Scholar Athlete of the Week. The league announced the weekly award winners this morning from its headquarters in Cleveland.

Cross Country Teams Sweep UB Stampede Invitationals
The University at Buffalo men's and women's cross country teams rolled to victories on Saturday afternoon in their lone home meet of the season, the UB Stampede Invitational as both teams finished first in the five-squad meets. Sunny skies and 60 degree temperatures proved to be ideal conditions for the runners along the course at Beaver Island State Park.
