The Bulls have now won 10 straight sets as they improve to 6-3 on the year. The six wins tie UB’s win total from last season.
Bulls Freeze Penguins, 3-0 Women's Volleyball The University at Buffalo volleyball team won its third consecutive match on Friday night, defeating the Youngstown State Penguins, 3-0, at Alumni Arena. UB put forth a stifling defense as it improved its record to 5-3 on the season.
Bulls Roll Past Niagara, 3-0 Women's Volleyball The University at Buffalo volleyball team put forth a dominating performance on Wednesday night as the Bulls defeated Niagara, 3-0, at Alumni Arena. The Bulls trailed just once, early in the first set, as they improve to 4-3 on the season.
Bulls Split Saturday Action Women's Volleyball The University at Buffalo volleyball team split its two matches on Saturday at the Nittany Lion Invitational, falling to Pittsburgh in the opener before defeating Robert Morris, 3-1 in the second match at Rec Hall. The Bulls are now 3-3 on the season.
Bulls Fall To Top-Ranked Penn State Women's Volleyball The University at Buffalo volleyball team had a hard time with top-ranked Penn State on Friday night, falling to the two-time defending national champion Nittany Lions, 3-0, at Recreation Building on the opening night of the Nittany Lion Invitational. The Bulls played in front of an announced attendance of 2,003, the largest crowd the Bulls have ever played in front of.
Bulls Take Home UB Invitational Championship Women's Volleyball The University at Buffalo volleyball team began the 2009 season on a positive note winning the University at Buffalo Invitational on Saturday. The Bulls split their two matches on the day, defeating Fordham 3-2 in the afternoon, before falling to Seton Hall 3-0 in the nightcap. The Bulls end the first weekend of play with a 2-1 record.
Bulls Open Season With 3-0 Sweep of Boston College Women's Volleyball The University at Buffalo volleyball team did something it hadn’t done since 2005 on Friday night, win its season-opening match. The Bulls swept the Boston College Eagles, 3-0, at Alumni Arena as they began play in the 2009 University at Buffalo Invitational. The win was also UB’s first against an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent since defeating NC State in 2003.
