Each week this season we will check in with the UB Volleyball team and preview their week ahead.
Hey there everyone! This weekend was a good weekend here at Buffalo Volleyball. Saturday we had a huge win against Ball State. We beat them in 5 games, with the 5th game being 15-13. That was the first time in SCHOOL HISTORY that we have beaten Ball State. Needless to say we were all very excited after the game. We also got to celebrate one of our favorite person's birthday Saturday after the game. TK turned 11 so we celebrated her birthday with her eating some delicious cake and ice cream. This weekend we head to Western Michigan and Northern Illinois, looking to pick up 2 more conference wins. Wish us luck!
Also, next weekend, October 23rd, is our Dig for the Cure game against Central Michigan which starts at 7. Our team is trying to raise money to support breast cancer. Personally, this cause means a lot to me as one of my best friends mom is a survivor of breast cancer. It was things like this Dig for the Cure that helped her conquer breast cancer because of all the new technology and research doctors have been able to do. All the players will be selling ribbons until then that cost only $2. If you do not personally know a player then we will be accepting donations the night of the game. Please come to the game, not only to support us, but support a great cause! Wear your baby pink color from head to toe. This is a huge thing for us so please come join along in the fun. It should be a fun match, with it being homecoming weekend, there being a home football game against Temple earlier in the day, and us taking on Central Michigan while we raise money for a great cause. We truly hope to see you there!
