PROVIDENCE, RI – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team finished non-conference play with a 5-2 loss to nationally-ranked Brown on Sunday morning as the Bulls picked up a pair of victories in singles play. UB will enter MAC action next week with a 4-4 record.
Brown took the doubles points as it claimed victories at both second and third doubles. The Bulls did pick up a win at first doubles as UB's regionally-ranked team of Denise Harijanto and Aleksandra Petrovadefeated Bianca Aboubakare and Casey Herzberg, who was ranked third in the region and 71st in the nation, 8-5.
The Bulls begin conference play this upcoming weekend as they head to Akron for a meeting with the Zips. Akron was picked first in the MAC in the preseason poll. The match is set for 1:00 pm.
