UB Student-Athletes Earn a Combined 3.014 Grade Point Average For Spring Semester With the 2012-13 academic year coming to a close, the University at Buffalo student-athletes carried on a budding, but important, tradition after cumulating a 3.014 grade point average in the Spring semester. This marked the first time the Athletic Department has surpassed a 3.0 GPA in three straight semesters.

Buffalo Rowing Earns Boatload of Academic Honors The Colonial Athletic Association announced its 2012 Commissioner’s Academic Award for rowing, with 32 members of the Buffalo Bulls earning the award out of a roster of 57 student-athletes. Cornelia Willis Finishes Fourth at World Championships After besting her opponents here in the United States, Cornelia Willis and her Women's Lightweight 4x team traveled halfway across the world for the chance of a lifetime. Willis rowed for GMS Rowing out of Connecticut, and competed alongside teammates Carolina Paini, Sarah Giancola and Samantha Brecht. The team finished fourth in the championship race with a time of 7:44.59, just missing out on a medal.
