Rowing Concludes Opening Weekend at Cardinal Invite

OAK RIDGE, TN – The University at Buffalo women's rowing team continued its season opening weekend at the Cardinal Invite putting seven boats on the water.

Both the varsity four "A" and the second varsity eight raced to exciting victories. The varsity four "A" sailed to a win over Georgetown and West Virginia as well UB's own lightweight eight, which in a close contest took fourth. The Bulls second varsity eight was victorious over crews from Georgetown and West Virginia as well.

UB's novice eight, varsity eight and varsity four "C" all took second in their heats. The varsity four "C" followed Kansas while beating out Louisville and Notre Dame while the varsity eight finished behind Georgetown and West Virginia. Novice eight saw its second place finish come behind a varsity eight boat from West Virginia.

The Bulls continue the season as the team travels to Philadelphia, PA on March 30^th to compete in the Murphy Cup.
