The five remaining teams, including UB, raced in the repachage (second chance) race on Friday afternoon. The Bulls easily won the race with a time 9:12.2. Radcliffe finished second with a time of 9:31.7.
"They were able to stay technically clean through a strong headwind. I was proud of the way they executed the race from start to finish," lightweight coach Kerri Kanaley said. "We're very excited to be in the final and racing among the best in the country on our first trip to this event."
Buffalo will face off against Wisconsin, Stanford, Radcliffe, Georgetown and Princeton in the finals at 8:10 am on Saturday.
