BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo rowing team heads to Virginia this weekend for the Colonial Athletic Association Championship. The Bulls are looking to defend the title they won a year ago in just the second year as a member of the conference.
Buffalo, Delaware, Drexel, Northeastern, Old Dominion and host George Mason will vie for the conference crown. UB is expected to be among the favorites again this year as it looks to pick up its second straight title. The Bulls captured five top-five finishes at the Knecht Cup earlier in April and most recently swept a strong Grand Valley State squad on the road.
The championship gets underway on Sunday at Sandy Run Regional Park in Fairfax Station, VA. Races will begin with the Varsity 4 race at 9:30 a.m. with the Second Varsity 8 race to follow at 9:45 a.m. The Varsity 8 at 10:05 a.m. marks the final event of the championship.
