High School:  Was just the second wrestler in the nation ever to win four straight NHSCA national titles, and also swept the NHSCA in middle school, finishing with a national record of eight total NHSCA championships... named to the NHSCA Hall of Fame in 2011... finished second at the Freestyle Nationals and has third- and fourth-place finishes at the Greco Roman Nationals... four time Fargo All-American (three for greco roman and one for freestyle)... ... performed well at the prestigious Beast of the East Championships, recording second, third and fourth overall finishes in his high school career... ranked the top senior in Virginia out of all weights... ranked the fourth overall 149 pound college prospect in the country by theopenmat.com... went 37-3 in his senior season and set his high school’s career wins record with 184 victories, also ranking as the third most ever in the Central Region... named to the Virginia AAA All State team as a freshman (3rd), sophomore (2nd), and junior (champion)... Two time Central Region champion and three time finalist... wrestled for the Team Predator and Virginia Thunder club teams for 15  years... also played on the defensive line and was the running back for Matoaca’s football team over three seasons... Personal: Born October 8, 1992... son of Arthur and Karen... has one brother (Noah) and one sister (Kristina)... intended Theatre major... chose Buffalo over Edinboro, Old Dominion, The United States Naval Academy and North Carolina State because of the direction of the wrestling program, the coaching staff and the facilities... his father Arthur wrestled for Virginia State... favorite quote is “No one respects your talent, they respect your hard work and dedication to make your talent better”... enjoys listening to hip-hop, R&B, and country, with his favorite artist being Mac Miller... admires his former high school wrestling coach Michael Moore because “he never broke up his morals and values and was always there for me even when I didn’t deserve it”... lists current Lehigh wrestler Joey Napoli as the toughest opponent he has ever faced... his goal as a college athlete is to win a NCAA title and leave UB as the winningest wrestler and most All American bids in program history... ideal vacation destination is Mexico City, Mexico.
