KENT STATE GAME STORYLINES
- Game Preview: Now that the Bulls have knocked out the road portion of their schedule, they begin a three-game home stand Sunday afternoon. The Bulls will face Kent State today followed by Akron on Wednesday night. Buffalo has secured a first round playoff game in the MAC Tournament, which begins next Saturday.
- Senior Send Off: Buffalo will honor its one senior before today's game, Nicki Hopkins. Despite coming in as part of a class of five, Hopkins is the lone senior in this year's class and she has had quite the career, playing in over 100 games and putting her name in the school's top 10 in three pointers made and three-point field goal percentage. This season, she has made the transition to point guard and has demolished her career total for assists in a season with 40. Her previous career high was 16, set last season.
- Christa Blockas: Despite being just a sophomore, Christa Baccas has already moved into the top 10 in school history in career blocks. Her 65 blocks this season are the third most in school history and her 97 career blocks are 10th. Current assistant coach Kourtney Brown is UB's all-time leading shot blocker with 260.
