Brown Picks Up Weekly MAC Honor

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo junior Kourtney Brown was named MAC East Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. Brown picked up her 12th and 13th double-doubles of the season as she averaged 22.0 points and 12.0 rebounds in UB's two-game homestand.

Brown began the week in UB's loss to Eastern Michigan as she had 25 points and 10 rebounds against the Eagles, including eight on the offensive end. Brown also set a career-high with 13 free throws as she went 13-of-17 from the line. In UB's win over Central Michigan, Brown finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Brown also recorded three blocked shots in each game for the Bulls.

Brown has moved into seventh place on UB's all-time scoring list with 1,163 points and she is currently fifth in the nation in rebounding and second in the nation in offensive rebounds. Brown is fourth in the conference in scoring, first in rebounding, second in field goal percentage, first in offensive rebounds, first in blocked shots and tied for 10th in steals.

Brown and the Bulls hit the road on Wednesday night as they wrap up MAC West play with a trip to Ball State. Tipoff is set for 7:00 pm.
