The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving squad announced its team awards for the 2013 season. Head coach Andy Bashor and his staff made the following presentations: Jessica Powers was named as Rookie of the Year; Rachael Ragen earned the Most Improved Award; Emma Miller won the Leadership Award and Mallory Morrell was selected as the Most Valuable Performer.

Eric Forrester and John Nord were selected to the men's team.

Women’s Swimming and Diving Makes a Splash with American Cancer Society
As the Women’s Swimming and Diving team gets ready to make a splash when they host the MAC Championships from February 28 to March 1, it also made time to contribute to the American Cancer Society. The ladies of the swimming and diving program volunteered at the Hope Lodge. There, the team helped sterilize the house while also making baked goods for the visitors to contribute to the home-like environment.

Bulls Best Bonnies in Senior Day Finale
The University at Buffalo men's and women's swimming and diving teams sent out the 2013 senior class on a winning note Saturday afternoon as the Bulls swept Big Four rival St. Bonaventure at Alumni Arena Natatorium in the final dual meet of the year. The Bulls defeated the Bonnies, 159-135, in the men's meet. The UB women knocked off the Bonnies, 177-111. It was the fifth straight win by the Bulls in both all-time series.

The UB men knocked off the host RedHawks, 175-124, while the UB women fell 177-120.

The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams split results against Army on Saturday afternoon at Crandall Pool in West Point. The UB women (3-0) remained undefeated this season with a 168-127 victory. The UB men (1-1) suffered their first loss of the season with a 164.5-135.5 decision to the Black Knights.

Furious Charge Falls Short as Bulls Finish Second at MAC Men's Swimming Championships
A furious comeback on the final night of action by the University at Buffalo fell just short as the Bulls finished second to Eastern Michigan as the Mid-American Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships concluded Saturday night at Miami University's Corwin M. Nixon Aquatics Center. The Bulls scored a total of 674.5 points to Eastern Michigan's 693.5.

Due to severe weather in the area, Friday night's finals session of the Mid-American Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Nixon Aquatic Center has been cancelled and the results of the morning's prelims will serve as timed-finals results. The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams completed their home schedules on Saturday as the Bulls swept their Mid-American Conference opposition at Alumni Arena Natatorium. The UB men (5-0, 1-0 MAC) defeated Miami (OH), 165-127. The UB women (5-2, 1-2 MAC) knocked off Bowling Green, 146-123.

The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will make their final home appearances of the 2012 season on Saturday, January 21 starting at 2:00 pm at Alumni Arena Natatorium. The University at Buffalo men's and women's swimming and diving teams scored the needed first- and third-place finishes in the final event to ensure victory as the Bulls swept visiting Pittsburgh in the dual meet season opener for both teams.
