2011-12: Part of UB’s victorious 200 free relay (1:30.45) and 400 free relay (3:19.83), setting UB and MAC records at the MAC Championships. Earned consolation points placing 12th in the 100 butterfly (55.99), 13th in the 100 freestyle (51.24) and 14th in the 200 IM (2:03.86) at the league meet. Named to CSCAA Academic All-America team as an honorable mention selection.

2010-11: Named UB’s Top Rookie for women’s team. Part of two record setting third-place relays (200 free relay, 1:32.47, 400 free relay, 3:23.61) and a member of the second-place 200 medley relay (1:40.30) at the MAC Championships. Finished 12th in the 200 IM (2:04.47), 17th in the 100 freestyle (season best 51.70) and 18th in the 100 butterfly (season best 56.70) at the MAC meet. 

High School: Earned four letters and captained one season at Forest Hills High School for coach Tim Jasperse. The Michigan Division II state champion in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, setting state records in both events. Won the state championship in the 100 butterfly three times and once each in the 200 individual medley and 200 medley relay. Earned 14 all-state and 13 All-American honors. Also participated with the Rapid Area Y swim club for coach Nathan Manley.

Personal: Born March 5, 1992. Daughter of Blair and Lisa Murphy. Has one brother (Aaron) and one sister (Meaghan). Hobbies include photography and painting. Favorite athletes are Ryan Lochte and Shawn White. Favorite movies are Step Brothers and The Notebook. Majoring in psychology.
