2011-12: Placed 18th in one-meter (218.20) and 19th in three-meter (200.25) at the MAC Championships. Set season-best scores during the regular season in the one-meter (260.72) vs. Miami (OH) and three-meter (254.70) at St. Bonaventure.
2010-11: Competed as an exhibition entrant in the one-meter (203.25) and three-meter (170.15) diving events at the MAC Championships. Set season-best marks in both disciplines (one-meter, 232.64, three-meter, 224.92) against Binghamton.
High School: Won four letters and captained one season at Starpoint High School for coach Tim Menges. Set school record in one-meter diving. Also swam sprint freestyle and individual medley races for the Spartans, earning 2009 Most Improved and 2010 Career Achievement Awards. A member of coach Karla Helder’s Wings Diving program for three years.
Personal: Born April 6, 1992. Son of David and Melissa McAninch. Has one sister (Amber). Hobbies include scuba diving, fishing and water skiing. Favorite movies include Remember the Titans, Miracle and The Blind Side. Played little league football for eight years and now coaches with Lockport Little Loop Football. Earned rank of Eagle Scout, completing many volunteer projects including working at the Pendleton Food Pantry. Majoring in exercise science.
