Carpenter Takes 11th in Three-Meter Dive at NCAA Meet

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN – University at Buffalo senior diver Meili Carpenter finished the second day of competition at the 2010 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at Purdue's Boilermaker Aquatic Center tonight. The senior finished 11th out of 38 divers in the three-meter event with a final score of 330.90.


Carpenter scored 323.10 points in the preliminary round of the three-meter event, qualifying 10th out of 38 divers. She finished 11th in the final round, bettering her score with 330.90 points to close out the night. Her 11th-place finish tonight is the highest of her career at the NCAA meet, bettering her 12th-place finish last night that was her previous highest finish.

Minnesota's Kelci Bryant won the three-meter event with a new facility record of 415.50.

Carpenter will wrap up the weekend with the platform event tomorrow.
