University at Buffalo softball coach Jen Teague has announced the addition of Heather Ryder, a pitcher and corner infielder that will have two years of eligibility left beginning in 2012-13.

Curtiss And Gallardo Earn Postseason Honors
University at Buffalo freshman Alexis Curtiss and sophomore Sammi Gallardo were recognized by the Mid-American Conference on Tuesday evening as the conference announced their postseason awards. Curtiss became just the third player in school history named to All-MAC First Team, while Gallardo was named to the Second Team. Curtiss was also named to the All-Freshman Team.

Bulls End Season With 5-2 Loss At Akron
The host Akron Zips scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth, turning a 2-1 deficit into a 5-2 victory over the University at Buffalo softball team on Sunday. The game ended the season for the Bulls, who finished with a 14-31 record and a 4-17 mark in the MAC.

Bulls Swept By Bobcats
Beginning their final road trip of the year, the University at Buffalo softball team dropped a pair of games at Ohio on Friday afternoon. The Bobcats had their offense going as they combined for 19 runs in the two games. Ohio won the first contest 8-0 and the second game 11-3.

Head coach Jen Teague has announced the addition of Kenzie Koch, who has signed a National Letter of Intent to player softball for the Bulls in 2012-13. Koch comes to Buffalo from Prosser, WA.

Offense Continues To Shine As Bulls Sweep Niagara
The University at Buffalo softball team combined for 20 runs and received a first-game shutout from Tori Speckman as the Bulls took a doubleheader from Niagara on Wednesday at Nan Harvey Field. UB won the first game 11-0 in five innings and took the second game 9-6 as it improves to 14-21 on the season. The Bulls have now won six of their last seven games.

The University at Buffalo softball team knocked off the defending Mid-American Conference Champions on Sunday, defeating Western Michigan, 5-4, at Fran Ebert Field. It was a victory that almost didn’t happen, but the Bulls defense came through when they needed to the most.

The University at Buffalo softball team used timely hitting and clutch pitching on Wednesday as they defeated Canisius, 10-2. The Bulls were powered to their strong offensive performance by junior Alyssa Ward, who hit for the cycle and drove six runs home in the game.

Behind a complete game two-hitter from senior Holly Johnson, the University at Buffalo softball team defeated Baylor, ranked by some as high as 15th in the country, 1-0, at Getterman Stadium. The victory improves UB’s record to 7-12 on the year.
