Bulls Drop Game to San Diego State

SAN DIEGO, CA – The University at Buffalo softball team took on San Diego State tonight, falling to the Aztecs, 5-0, at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The Bulls struggled to string together hits, with senior Jaime Shefflertallying the only Buffalo hits. Sheffler singled to short stop in the top of the third inning and again in the fifth, when she singled to the pitcher. The Aztecs scored a run in each of the first four innings, including two in the second to secure the 5-0 win. Terese Diaz started in the circle for Buffalo, pitching the first 1.2 innings, before Sharon Barr came in as relief, pitching the remaining 4.1 innings. With Barr having appeared in 13 games already this season, she now leads Buffalo's all-time career list of games pitched with 107.

The Bulls head to the Long Beach State Tournament this weekend, with their first game set for Friday, March 12 at 12:00 pm against Notre Dame.
