Kristin Waldron Named MAC East Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo sophomore Kristin Waldron earned the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week Award for her performance at the McNeese State University Cowgirl Classic Tournament last weekend. In the last of three games on the weekend, Buffalo defeated Louisiana Tech, 10-7 to bring their record to 3-4 overall.

Waldron led the team with a batting average of .636 and a slugging percentage of .909. Waldron finished the weekend with seven hits, one double, one single and three RBIs, including one in Buffalo's win over Louisiana Tech.

The Bulls are set for a week long trip out west. Their first game will be Friday, March 5 when they take on Cal Poly at noon as part of the San Diego Classic.
