Bulls Complete UB Invitational With Five Championships

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team completed the UB Invitational on Sunday by winning all 10 of its matches against St. Bonaventure and earning five championship titles.

Scoring singles championship titles were Wojceich Starakiewicz in the A Draw, Damien David in the B Draw, Vusa Hove in the C Draw, Travis Zappia in the G Draw and the duo of Hove and David in the A Doubles Draw.

Kennesaw State and Niagara faced each other on Sunday as well, with the Owls taking six of seven singles matches and two of three doubles contests.

"This was a very good weekend in terms of getting some good match play in," said UB head coach Lee Nickell. "We did a really good job in the top three flights staying consistent in singles. We still have a lot of things to work on as we prepare for regionals and Cornell."

The Bulls travel to the Lehigh Invitational next weekend.
