Mitchell Watt Breaks Blocks Record at Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, VAMitchell Watt capped a very productive weekend at the Portsmouth Invitational by blocking four shots in his final game. It brought his three-game total to 13 blocks – setting a Portsmouth Invitational record.

The previous record of 11 blocked shots was set by Florida State's Trevor Harvey back in 2003. Watt had seven blocks in his first game - one shy of the single game tournament record.

It was a great weekend for Watt who averaged 12.7 points, nine rebounds and 4.3 blocked shots over the three games.

Watt's play caught the eye of scouts and media types alike. The 2012 MAC Player of the Year was even featured on NBA.com. Click here to read the article.
