Free Tickets For Buffalo’s Game Against Houghton on Saturday
BUFFALO, NY – As a holiday gift to fans, all tickets to Saturday's men's basketball game against Houghton College will be free. The Bulls host the Highlanders at Alumni Arena at 1:00 pm.
This is a perfect opportunity for fans to catch the new-look Bulls who are 6-3 on the season, including a perfect 4-0 at home. Buffalo has been playing very well at home, averaging nearly 84 points per game.
Buffalo is coming off a 78-64 win over Green Bay last Saturday. Zach Filzen
and Byron Mulkey
led UB with 21 points apiece. The duo has led the way in scoring all season as Filzen is averaging a team-best 15.8 points per game and Mulkey is close behind averaging 15.6 points per game.
Filzen has been using the three-point shot to his advantage as he leads the Mid-American Conference and ranks eighth in the nation in three-pointers made per game (3.4).
Mulkey has led Buffalo's defensive surge. His 35 steals rank second in the nation. The Bulls lead the MAC in scoring defense (62.9), field goal percentage defense (.387), blocked shots (55) and rank a close second and steals (86). Mitchell Watt
ranks third in the MAC with 19 blocked shots with Javon McCrea
ranking fourth with 18.
McCrea has been opening eyes with his play. The freshman forward is averaging eight points and 7.6 rebounds per game. He ranks second in the MAC in field goal percentage (.630) and third in rebounding. He has already registered three double-doubles on the season.
Santa Claus will be at the game for kids as well as the bounce house. It will also be the last chance for fans to purchase holiday packs of tickets before Christmas.
