BUFFALO, NY – Shannon Quinn, wife of University at Buffalo head football coach Jeff Quinn, will host the 2012 Football 101 for Women at UB Stadium on July 31. The annual event teaches the basics of football to women who want to prepare for the 2012 season. Proceeds from the event will go to Breast Cancer Network of Western New York.
"The purpose is not only to bring more women on campus and teach them a little bit more about football at the collegiate level - but also in conjunction with our efforts to help fight breast cancer," Jeff Quinn said.
Women participating in the event will run drills and learn the basics of football from UB coaches and players. Joanna Pasceri from Channel 7 and UB football play-by-play voice Paul Peck will co-host the event.
The event cost $30 and includes a tailgate party, a gift bag and tickets for a 2012 UB football game.
