Hoof Prints: A first-team All-MAC selection in 2012, Mack is the anchor of UB’s linebacking corps... in just two seasons, already ranks fifth in school history in tackles for loss with 34 and is tied for the school record with seven forced fumbles...tremendous physical talent with an unstoppable motor...chose UB because of the environment.
Sophomore (2011): Despite being the focal point of nearly every offenses’ blocking scheme, Mack led the team in sacks, tackles for loss and forced fumbles... first-team All-MAC... tabbed by Sports Illustrated as an honorable mention All-American... named to Phil Steele’s All-MAC first team... had 65 tackles, including 20.5 tackles for loss, third most in the nation... added five forced fumbles (tied for eighth in the nation)... brought down the quarterback 5.5 times and added 13 quarterback hurries... started the season with five tackles (two for loss), a sack, a forced fumble and a pass breakup against Pittsburgh (9/3)... earned the MAC East defensive player of the week honors and College Football Performance Awards’ Linebacker of the week after eight tackles, a sack, 3.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, an interception and three quarterback hurries against Stony Brook (9/10)... had a season-high 11 tackles against Ball State (9/17)... led the team to a 38-37 win over Ohio thanks to five tackles (2.5 for loss), a half sack and a forced fumble (10/8)... tore apart the Akron backfield for five solo tackles (three for loss), two sacks, a forced fumble and a blocked punt (11/19).
Redshirt-Freshman (2010): Was a terror in the opponent’s backfield, setting the freshman record for most tackles for loss in a season... recorded team highs in both sacks (4.5) and tackles for losses (14.5)... hit the quarterback eight times, also a team high... excelled in coverage, with a team-high ten pass break ups... his 68 total tackles were third-most on the team... named to Phil Steele’s All-MAC Third Team... broke up two passes, got a half sack and made three tackles in the season opener against Rhode Island... had five tackles, a sack and two tackles for loss against Central Florida (9/18)... wreaked havoc on the Bowling Green offense, making nine tackles, four of which were for a loss of 37 total yards, a forced fumble and a sack (10/2)... had a season-high ten tackles against Temple (10/23)... had a sack and six tackles, one for loss, against Miami (OH) (10/30)... torched Ohio with seven tackles, a sack and a forced fumble (11/4)... had three tackles for loss against Eastern Michigan (11/20)... against Akron, had seven tackles, two for loss, and two pass breakups (11/26).
Freshman (2009): Redshirted in his first season at Buffalo.
High School: Played for head coach Waides Ashmon at Westwood High School...had 140 tackles, including eight for a loss and nine sacks his senior year...named third-team All-State in football-rich Florida, as well as first-team All-Area...helped lead the Panthers to a district championship.
