2012: Developed into more of a pitcher as the season went on, and became the team’s premier shutdown option in the bullpen... lowered his ERA by more than two runs than the season before, despite pitching a career-high 42.1 innings... struck out 40 batters and walked only 14... allowed a meager .225 batting average to opponents... ended the season on a high note, throwing 26.1 innings over 11 appearances, striking out 22 and allowing just four earned runs... at the plate, batted .293 with five doubles, 17 RBI and 13 walks to just 12 strikeouts.
2011: Did not play in 2010, sat out with redshirt... Played predominantly at third base but was also used as a middle innings reliever for the team... started the season fast, with a .350 batting average with six RBI through the first nine games of the season (14-40)... tossed 34 innings out of the bullpen, striking out 24 batters... ended the season on a hot streak on the mound, with a 1.27 earned run average in eight total appearances... earned the win after throwing two scoreless innings in a 7-5 win over Ohio (5/7)... nailed down the team’s only save of the season, with a scoreless inning against Canisius (5/17)... had 13 multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games.
2009: First season with the Bulls... started in seven of 21 games appeared in... made 18 appearances on the mound, without a decision... in his career debut, went 2-for-3 with two RBIs against Hilbert (4/1)... hit his first career home run against #23 Kent State (5/3), also hitting a double and scoring two runs... hit a single, double and triple against Bowling Green (5/10), registering a pair of RBIs... made his career debut on the mound against Eastern Kentucky (2/28), striking out a batter... collected his first career victory versus Portland (3/10), striking out a pair of batters in 2.0 innings of work... struck out a career-high four batters against Youngstown State (5/13).
High School: Four-year letterwinner and two-year captain at Shaker Heights… holds the school record for strikeouts in a season and career strikeouts… in his senior year was named to the Mizuno All-State Team and League Player of the Year… named All-League as a sophomore, junior and senior.
Personal: Born November 25, 1989... son of Douglas and Jani McWilliams... has two brothers, Arden and Canyon... also enjoys football and basketball... greatest athletic accomplishment is recovering from ACL surgery to go All-State as a senior… would like to break the UB record for most career hits... dream is to take the Bulls to the MAC Championship... majoring in business.
