Dawn Reed is in her 13th year at the University at Buffalo and 6th year as the Director of Development Programs. In her role at UB, Reed works with the Athletics Development team on annual fund, major gifts and capital projects, and oversees the marketing and communication efforts of the development office. She is the point-person for the Bulls Legacy Program, Athletic Directors Leadership Circle and all athletic-related donor events and stewardship. In 2006, Reed was credited with securing one of the largest philanthropic gifts in the history of UB Athletics. Prior to her role in development, Reed worked as a member of the marketing team and managed the marketing efforts for football and men’s and women’s basketball as well as, the trademarks and licensing efforts of the athletic department. In 2003, 2005 and 2007, the UB Division of Athletics was recognized with the Best Season Ticket Campaign award by NACMA. Prior to UB, Reed worked for four seasons for the NHL Buffalo Sabres as the manager of game entertainment. During her tenure with the Sabres, Reed worked on national events such as the NHL Entry Draft, NHL Stanley Cup Finals and was a member of the 2000 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament organizing committee. Reed has also done free-lance work for the Buffalo Bills (NFL), Buffalo Destroyers (AFL) and Buffalo Bandits (NLL). A native of Buffalo, NY, Reed earned a B.A. in Cultural Studies/Communications and a M.A. in Social Policy from Empire State College. She lives in Buffalo with her husband Jon Fuller (Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Communications, UB) and daughter, Nora (2) and is active on numerous university, collegiate athletics and community committees.
