Allen Greene begins his first year as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration. Greene comes from the University of Mississippi where he served as Assistant Athletic Director for Development and Priority Seating.
In his role at UB, Greene will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of UB Athletics overseeing business operations, human resources, facilities, capital projects, Recreation and Intramurals and sport oversight of football and men’s and women’s basketball.
Greene spent three years with the UMAA Foundation, the fundraising arm of Ole Miss Athletics, where he oversaw all aspects of football, basketball and baseball priority seating drives and ticket sales, which were the main revenue streams for the UMAA Foundation. In addition to creating new ways to generate revenue from priority seating, Greene was also responsible for major gift fundraising.
Prior to arriving at Ole Miss, Greene spent two years at his alma mater, Notre Dame, as the program coordinator for Athletics Advancement. He was responsible for the development and execution of various stewardship programs, in addition to numerous on-campus and off-campus events for Athletics Advancement.
Before joining the Notre Dame development staff, Greene spent five years in the Irish Compliance Office. As the Coordinator of Compliance, he oversaw the certification of student-athlete eligibility and handled all technology issues within the office, including maintaining the compliance database and website.
He graduated from Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He has a master’s degree in liberal studies from Indiana University and has completed the Sports Management Institute Executive Program (SMI).
Greene was a three-year starter in the Notre Dame outfield before signing with the New York Yankees after his junior season, as a ninth-round Major League Draft selection. He played in that organization's minor league system from June of 1998 until March of 2001.
Greene and his wife, Christy, have three children - daughter Rian, son Samuel, and daughter Seneca.
