Regan and Loesing Named Athletes of the Week

| Will Regan (Buffalo, NY/The Nichols School) of the men's basketball team averaged 15 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in UB's contests at Canisius and against Mansfield. In the win over Mansfield, the 6-8 forward netted 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting and made both of his three-point attempts. At Canisius, he was 4-of-7 from the floor and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line. He is averaging 9.1 ppg this season, third on the team. |

| Mackenzie Loesing (Norwood, OH/ St. Ursuline Academy) of the women's basketball team was named to the All-Tournament team at the Marriott Dayton Classic, having the best game of her young career on Saturday against Eastern Illinois. Against the Panthers, Loesing finished with 21 points, five rebounds and eight assists off the bench and also added three steals on the defensive end. She became the first Buffalo freshman to score 20 points in a game since the 2007-08 season. Loesing also added a team-high seven rebounds in Buffalo's loss at nationally-ranked Dayton. |
