Neutz and Fritsche Named Athletes of the Week

Alex Neutz (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) of the football team had eight catches for a career-high 154 yards and tied a school-record with four touchdown receptions in UB's 56-34 victory over Morgan State. Neutz had touchdown catches of 16, 22, 34 and 28 yards with the first two coming within 40 seconds in the final minute and a half of the second quarter. In two games, the junior has 13 receptions and five touchdowns while averaging 15.8 yards per catch.

Christine Fritsche (Parma, OH/Padua) of the women's volleyball team totaled a season-high 15 kills in UB's five-set match against Eastern Kentucky to conclude the Cleveland State Invite. Fritsche finished with a .312 hitting percentage and added three digs in the contest. For the season, the junior outside hitter is averaging 2.71 kills per set.
