Craven and Scott Named Athletes Of The Week

| Richard Craven (Nottingham, England/The Becket School) of the men's soccer team scored UB's goal to help the Bulls forge a 1-1 tie with crosstown rival Canisius in the season-opening contest. Craven, a junior midfielder, scored on a rebound from the middle of the box in the 31st minute. As a sophomore in 2011, he finished fifth on the team in points with seven scoring three goals and adding an assist. |

| Liz Scott (Canadaigua, NY/Canadaigua Academy) of the women's volleyball team earned MVP honors at the UB Invitational as the Bulls won the team title following a five-set win over Oral Roberts. Scott finished the three-match weekend with 55 kills and a .336 hitting percentage. In the championship win over the Golden Eagles, the sophomore Preseason All-MAC honoree, posted a career-high 25 kills with just two errors on 48 swings, leading all players with a .479 hitting percentage. Scott ended the night with 27.0 points, tying the school record for points in a five-set match, a category not introduced until the 2003 season. |
