Regan and Sharkey Named Athletes of the Week

Will Regan (Buffalo, NY/The Nichols School) of the men's basketball team averaged 21.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in UB's three games in the MAC Tournament. Regan scored a career-high 36 points, the eighth most by any MAC player in the tournament's history and the most ever by a UB player, in the Bulls' victory over Ball State. In the three games, Regan also shot 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from three-point range and averaged 38 minutes of playing time.

Kristen Sharkey (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) of the women's basketball team averaged 20 points and 7.5 rebounds in the MAC Tournament second and third round games. In UB's matchup against Akron, Sharkey scored 26 points, 20 in the second half, and shot 12-of-19 from the field and added seven rebounds. Against Miami, she finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.
