Jones and White Named Athletes of the Week

| Jonathan Jones (Portville, NY/Portville) of the men's track and field team won the MAC's indoor shot put title as he broke former MAC champion Rob Golabek’s UB record and set the MAC Championship mark with his throw of 64-3.25 (19.59m), nearly three feet better than his previous best of 61-5 (18.72m) headed into the meet. Jones earned the MAC's Outstanding Male Field Performer award. |

| Shante' White (Syracuse, NY/Henninger) of the women's track and field team won the MAC's weight throw title as she obliterated the UB record and her personal best at the league meet. White finished with a winning toss of 69-8 (21.23m), adding more than six feet to her previous best and breaking Faith Thompson’s UB record by more than four feet. She won the event by more than two feet over second-place thrower and also earned the MAC's Outstanding Female Field Performer award. |
