Woods and Wheldon Named Athletes Of The Week

 Ainsley Wheldon (Waterloo, Ontario/Bluevale Collegiate Institute) of the women's soccer team earned a pair of shutouts in UB's 1-0 victories over Binghamton and Bucknell. In the double overtime win over the Bearcats, in the opener, the sophomore stopped five shots. She also stopped five shots in the win over the Bison. Wheldon has not allowed a goal in 193:47 this season.

Nate Woods (Manchester, England/Louisburg JC) of the men's soccer team scored the game-winning goal in UB's season-opening victory at St. Bonaventure. Woods, who scored one goal in six matches in 2010, scored on a header in the 19th minute of the contest following a throw in. The Bulls defeated the Bonnies, 3-0, for their sixth season-opening win in the last eight years.
