Tanvi Shah (Mumbai, India/Podar International School) of the women's tennis team was 3-1 in her matches as the Bulls split Mid-American Conference road contests at Bowling Green and Western Michigan. In UB's win at Western Michigan, the first time in school history that the Bulls had downed the Broncos in Kalamazoo, Shah teamed with Marta Stoyanova to claim the doubles point. At first singles, she defeated Nini Sujashvili, 7-5, 6-1. Shah also defeated Bowling Green's Maddy Eccleston, 6-0, 6-1, in singles play. |

Cameron Copping (Temple City, CA/Pasadena JC) of the baseball team threw 10 innings of shutout ball in UB's series opener against Western Michigan on Friday. Copping allowed just three hits and struck out seven with one walk. The senior righthander lowered his earned run average by more than two runs with his performance. Copping leads the Bulls in innings pitched (38), strikeouts (43) and opponent batting average (.240). |
