Tennis Sweeps UB Athlete Of The Week Awards

Marta Stoyanova (Ruse, Bulgaria/John Atanasov) of the women's tennis team was 3-1 in her matches as the Bulls split Mid-American Conference home contests against Ball State and Miami (OH). Playing second singles, she defeated Kristel Sanders of Ball State, 6-3, 6-2 and knocked off Miami's Riekie Honiball, 7-5, 6-1 on Saturday. She also paired with Tamara Markovic for a first doubles win over Ball State.

Vusa Hove (Harare, Zimbabwe/St. George's) of the men's tennis team went undefeated in his matches as the Bulls scored victories over St. Bonaventure and Marist. Playing second singles, he scored a 6-0, 6-0 "double-bagel" victory over the Bonnies' Luis Guevara and won 7-5, 7-6 over Marist's Joris Van Eck. Hove also paired with Damien David at first doubles for two wins. He is 14-5 in singles and 11-6 in doubles this season.
