Throwers Sweep Athlete Of The Week Honors

Becky O'Brien (Cumberland, ME/Greely) of the women's track and field team picked up second-team All-America honors at the NCAA National Indoor Track and Field Championships. O'Brien reached the championship final of the women's shot put, placing ninth with a top throw of 53-5.25 (16.30m). Additionally, she was also named as the Northeast Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA.

Rob Golabek (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) of the men's track and field team earned first-team All-America honors at the NCAA National Indoor Track and Field Championships. Golabek finished seventh in the men's shot put with a top throw of 62-11.25 (19.18m). He was also named as the Northeast Region Men's Field Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA.
