Robinson And Hedderson Named Athletes Of The Week

Brittany Hedderson (Tecumseh, Ontario/St. Anne) of the women's basketball team averaged 25.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in UB's Mid-American Conference opening week at Ohio and Miami (OH). Hedderson scored 25 points at Ohio. Against Miami, the senior guard scored 26 points and also added five rebounds, three steals, two assists and a career-best three blocked shots. Hedderson leads the Bulls with a 19.4 points per game scoring average and has scored 20 or more points in six games this season.

Titus Robinson (Charlotte, NC/East Mecklenburg) of the men's basketball team averaged 13.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as the Bulls scored home victories over Buffalo State and Kent State in the league opener. Robinson scored 12 points and pulled down five rebounds against Buffalo State. He bettered those numbers in the win over Kent State with 14 points and six boards. Robinson, who averaged 18 minutes in the two games, shot 9-of-12 (.750) from the floor.
