The Office of Athletics Academic and Student Development Services works to provide opportunities for all student athletes to acquire the proper study skills and course-specific information to be successful in the classroom. This is achieved through our Tutoring and Academic Mentor programs. The intent of these programs is to supplement and support all of the sound education practices that are imperative for our student athletes’ academic success.

This program is designed for first year, transfer, and at-risk student athletes to aid in the development of study skills. The student-athletes work one-on-one with graduate students to develop their time management, organization, note-taking, test-taking, reading comprehension skills, and the alike. The goals of the program are to assist in making a smooth transition to college life, while also being able to balance the demand of being a student-athlete.
